Having Fun With Line Blends

Date Posted: 06/12/2001 - Line Blends can give you some interesting effects, but you have to remember where the starting and ending points of your lines fall.





In Figure 1, the lines with the arrows show the direction the two lines were drawn. If you do not take heed of your originating and ending point the line blend will not create the effect you’re looking for, as shown in figure 2.





By using two different colored strokes, you can create a line blend with some interesting color variations as well, as shown in Figure 3. By creating duplicates and rotating you can come up with even more creative designs. Try duplicating and binding to a path. You’re only limited by your imagination.
